This add-on features the locations where ice cores and radar data were collected in Antarctica during one of the four US ITASE traverses (United States - International TransAntarctic Scientific Expedition; 1999-2004). The primary goals of this project are to improve our understanding of how climate has changed over the past 200 years, and to determine whether the Antarctic ice sheet is gaining/losing mass as a result of changes in climate.
