[edit] Introduction
This trail is based on a TV series called 'Long Way Down' about Ewan McGregor and Charley Boormans motorcycle trip from the tip of Scotland to Cape Horn in South Africa.
The information is taken from thhe BBC's route log and map, a network xml is used so that any new information will be added automatically each time you load World Wind.
A great complement to this Add-on is the Virtual Earth Plug-in which allows you to view many of the areas visited in high resolution, and the South Africa Add-on which includes topographical maps of South Africa.
[edit] Installation
- Using the self installing exe -
- Double click 'WorldWind_1.4_Long_Way_Down_1.0.exe' and follow the on-screen prompts.
- When the installer has completed you are ready to run World Wind.
- Using the QuickInstall link -
- Click the QuickInstall link, after a few seconds World Wind will ask you if you wish to install the Add-on, follow the on-screen prompts.
- When the installation has completed you will be prompted to restart World Wind.
