Appalachian Trail
The Appalachian Trail is an add-on by user engmike for World Wind which displays the 2,174 miles (3500 km) of the Appalachian Trail and the 250 shelters along it. It uses the same track data system used for the Lewis and Clark trail.
The add-on features a "virtual hike" of the trail. Clicking on a photo icon in World Wind will take you to a relevant picture on whiteblaze.net, a website for hikers.
