This plug-in loads most .kml files that contain icons.

Installation

Download KMLImporter and extract the file to your World Wind Plugins directory, Find palette*.png in the GE res dir and copy those over to the empty icons directory aswell.

Usage

To use the plug-in load World Wind, open the Plug-Ins menu and click Load/Unload... (see figure 1).

Click on KMLImporter in the Plugin Load/Unload window and then press the Load button, the indicator next to KMLImporter should turn green, you can now safely close the Plugin Load/Unload window.

To Load a kml go to the plug-ins menu and click load kml, once loaded the kml name will be listed in Layer Manager.

Notes

This plug-in is currently an alpha version, support for other features such as polygons and network links are on the list (note that it already supports images that have to be downloaded from the web).
