Talk:Compiling the sources

I've rewritten the article. I think everything's mostly right. Would like to clarify when moving the data can happen. Can I make that a step before compiling on both NAnt and VS?

Also, there were three bits of text I wasn't happy deleting. Anyone with a clue please help. --Nosilleg 09:07, 10 May 2005 (CDT)

Is this required? It wasn't included with the two other instruction sets. --Nosilleg 09:07, 10 May 2005 (CDT)

  • In Visual Studio, open <CVS>\WorldWind\v1_3QuadTileDirectoryFixer\v1_3QuadTileDirectoryFixer.sln, compile, and run it.
  • QuadTileDirectoryFixer will ask for a directory - point it to <CVS>\WorldWind\bin\Debug\Data\Earth\BlueMarbleTextures and press "Fix".

Required? For NAnt and Studio? because default.build has hardcoded version numbers? --Nosilleg 09:07, 10 May 2005 (CDT)

  • Remove all other DirectX directories from C:\WINNT\Microsoft.NET\Managed DirectX except for the one you installed (v9.03.91=Dec 2004, this step seemed to be important for me user:Adamhill)
